Sony Ericsson Z600 infra-red port connectivity problems

I recently purchased a SE Z600 and everything on the phone seems to
work fine except that I have not been able to connect to my pc via infra-red
port. I have had no problems at all using phone to infra-red port
connection with my older and much cheaper SE T300, so I know that there is
no problem on my pc end of things. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I
would like to find out if this is an issue with my individual phone, which
is unlikely as I bought the phone brand new and everything else works fine,
or a defect with this model in general. Thanks for any assistance.

I hold that it is bad as far as we are concerned if a person, a political
party, an army or a school is not attacked by the enemy, for in that case it
