I reformatted a friends computer with her xp home edition - everything
seemed to go ok...however, now the properties only have 16 and not 32bit so
we can only get 640 resolution - can someone tell me what I did wrong? how
do we get the 32 back?

thanks!

Pam

You need to reinstall the drivers for your video card. Sounds like Windows
doesn't recognize, or have the proper drivers preinstalled, and is using the
"standard" drivers. Find the CD that came with the computer or the video
card, that contains the video drivers, and install them...

If the original CD is unavailable, you will need to find out the
manufacturer and model of the video card, and go to their website to
download the proper drivers...

This should clear up your problems...
