SONY VGN-FZ31S WEBCAm DRIVERS

Hello,
I installed windows 7 on my sony vgn-fz31s and my webcam fails to work there are no drivers on the sony site so can you guys help me out plz

From a couple things I saw, the Vista drivers should be compatible. Try the one from here: http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/preinstalled/index.aspx?l=en_GB&m=VGN-FZ31S
If you're 64bit, you're going to have to search around for it.

Since I've upgraded to Windows 7, I'm finding that some of my devices don't have drivers available.

I need a driver for my HP Scanjet 3300C and for my Logitech QuickCam Chat Webcam (PID: LN61887, P/N 861231-0000, and M/N V-UAP42).

Any suggestions? I would think someone could make a fortune writing drivers for these devices.

Hello natsuecow,

It is always best to check with the software manufacturer FIRST. They will tell you if they have tested the product and the version, as well as whether or not it will work with Windows 7.
Check out the Windows 7 Compatibility site: (There you will find out about hardware and software compatibilty.)

There is a pulldown from which you can choose "hardware" and "software".

In any event a lot of the times, Vista drivers will work in lieu of Windows 7 drivers, however, it's not 100%!
As stated previously, it's best to have the Windows 7 certified drivers installed.
Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for additional assitance and support.

Prior to migrating to Windows 7 did you run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor?

According to my search on your service, my WebCam (Logitech QuickCam Pro) is compatible with Windows 7. However, my system doesn't seem to be showing it. I tried using the hardware wizard to find it without luck but without success.

What can I do to make this work?
