I have a dell inspiron celeron laptop, runing windows XP with SP2

I installed the japanese languaje support IME on my spanish windows and it
screwed up everything, ried to fix it by deleting it from the supported
languajes setup on the control panel, it didnt work.

i uminstalled the IME from the uninstall/insytall software utility on the
control panel, then i installed the latest xp live update withourt
rebooting, when i did reboot it said there were missing system files, that i
needed to put the install disc and press r to repair them on the initial
screen, i did so and nothing happened, i dont know what to do, i could just
format it, but i have some work data i need to save before, and
reinstaslling woindos might destroy those files too.

anyone can help me please?
