Monitors cheat too! There is NO 3D!

Monitors display in 2D, not 3D!

Ever notice when you hold an object in front of you in real life and look behind it, it becomes blurry, out of focus? Or vice-versa?
Well, notice how in games, FPS for example, when your gun is in front of you and you look ahead in front of it, it isn't out of focus? Nor does the monitor do that automatically, to create depth?

Oh my god!
So the 3D we've been told about in modern games, ISN'T so true after all!

They've played us, those damn monitor companies!
They use a 2D technique that simulates 3D! They shouldn't called modern games 3D games, they should call them, and I propose: Twee Dee!
Yes, like ATi and Brilinear!
It's still true to some extent, that 3D, I guess...

I say we start a crusade against monitor companies!
I'm gonna go after Samsung and Viewsonic.
Who's with me! NO MORE CHEATING I SAY!

Hopefully they do some raytracing graphics cards first. There are some out there now but a bit too expensive for the general consumer. Wondering when Nvidia and ATi will start using it extensivily.


Btw I forgot if ya got those cheesy 3d glasses they have for 3d movies, our engine has 3d viewablitily hehe.

pretty easy to do there is some overhead though. Simply put its just shakinge RBG channels in different directions

Raytrancing is going to be a major part in 3D gaming in the coming years. Its alot easier to program reflections and things like that with raytracing!

Cards right now kinda support it but not really.
