Hi

I'm running WinXP with Lite-On LTR-48246k cd-rw drive.
My problem is that ever since I reinstalled WinXP, my cd drive doesnt detect any original (bought) cd-roms. These are mostly games, so some sort of autoplay should start. I can access the cd-roms manually and copy stuff from them to harddrive, but when I try to install something straight from a cd, an error "Only part of a ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessmemory request was completed" pops up and program halts. Apparently this doesnt happen under Safe mode for some reason.
Another kinky thing is that some games that used to run well under WinXp now show up an error that they aren't "valid win32 applications".

Any help would be greatly appreciated and if any system info is required, just tell me.

Can't you find any LiteOn drivers on the net?
WinXP cd-drivers are sometimes improper for some hardware.

Lite-On make good CD-RWs, you should be able to find drivers...

Coppermine, Banias, Opteron, Prescott, Barton... How 'bout investing less in the CPU and more in its name?
