That's a ridicolous price. Who would pay that much for a video card that will outdated in 4 months. I am going to get a 6800 non-ultra for $299. Probably only about 15% performance difference.

Remember these are canadian prices. And trust me the X800XT will double the performance of a 6800 non-ultra. Since it has 2x pipelines, and almost 2x memory bandwidth.

Seriously dude, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Get real.

People are still playing with Geforce4 Ti's, they didn't throw them away when DirectX 9 was released. Grow up.

Yeah, but that doesn't make me feel warm and fuzy about the price of the X880XT boards (not called that anymore of course). At that kind of coin waiting to be SURE of what to buy just makes sense.

Yeah, patience, i wanna wait 'til the 6800 series gets RELEASED!! then i can see some retail card benchmarks. My 5900 is running very very hard, hope it doesn't die, I still want to ebay it for like 150 bucks.

<A HREF="http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/myrig.php?do=view&id=17301" target="_new">My PC</A>

One of my distributors sells the X800 Pro for $612.00. If this price is typical, how the hell can resellers make any money when other places sell it retail for $630.00? A whole $18.00 on a $600.00 card?!? That's not even including shipping, so once you factor that in... bye bye profit.

LOL WTF?! That's tooOOOO high!! the price we get the ATI version is at 420, Sapphire OEM at 390, Asus at 570. I really shouldn't be giving this info away, then you know the profit we're making, okay none of you know where i work right?

I didn't mean that the card will be outdated in 4 months, I meant to say that it would not be the fastest and greatest in 4 months. Basically you are just spending a lot of money to brag that you have the fastest video card for a few months. Is it really worth the price? Right now you can get a 9800 Pro for $225, and that card offers good performance for all of todays games.I am not saying go buy a GeForce4 MX just because the price is good. You can get some good deals on cards that offer a good performance but don't hold the price tag. Well, it all depends how much you want to spend, I guess.

You work at NCIX right? That's why you posted their link of course.

Oh wait, or was that Future Shop? Jeez I really need a few extra memory cells out of storage.

BTW, wanna barter for parts?

I don't care where ya work... just tell me where you get the X800 Pro for $420... because I would really like to know. The only place I can order them from right now is Supercom.

The question is, MSRP of X800 Pro is $399, and should be available in quantities since some weeks. My guess is that's simply not true! If there were enough X800 Pro right now the MAX price you will find would be the MSRP. Online vendors use to sell below that price. Hey, right now is quite a problem to find units available and at a reasonable price!

Still looking for a <b>good online retailer</b> in Spain :frown:

We were talking about wholesalers... not retail.

The MSRP of $399.00 would most likely be US dollars and not Canadian dollars. Really wish I could find a distributer in Canada with some really nice wholesale prices so we can still make a reasonable amount of money on high-end vid cards.

Zoron from supercom, make sure you're ordering more than 1!! We ordered 25, the more you order the more discount you get. If you order 100:D I'm sure they'll give you a great deal on it. But for BBA cards, when we feel like it we deal directly with ATI, they give better prices, since we eliminate the middleman of supercom.
