My dell laptop Inspiron 2600 which has Toshiba DVD drive will only play
DVD's. When I insert a CD, it tries to load, but eventually stops. When I go
to "my computer" and try to explore the CD, I get the following error
message, " Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk maybe be corrupted,
or it could be using a format that is not compatable with windows". This
message comes up no matter what CD I put in. Its a real pain, as I can't
install anything, I can't even reinstall windows from my CD to see if that
helps. I am using XP home edition, and the DVD drive is a Toshiba DVD-ROM
SD-C2502. Can you please help, I am totally lost as to what to do.

Thanks Donal
