hl2 is going to look like hl1 does to us now , when it finally frikken gets released..

they have better added some more effects and stuff in. better damn well be SM3.0... that could explain the delay perhaps

Just can't believe they would actaully have a computer with the source attached to the inet! You would think they would at least take some precautions!

They're morons. That's gotta be rule #1 for sensitive info. Don't have it on a network that can be compromised let alone the freakin' internet!!!!

Thats [-peep-] up they might as well just forget about it.Do you have a link to where you heard this Boss?

Valve CEO Gabe Newell credited gamers with providing the information that led to the arrests. “It was extraordinary to watch how quickly and how cleverly gamers were able to unravel what are traditionally unsolvable problems for law enforcement related to this kind of cyber-crime," he said in a statement. "Everyone here at Valve is once again reminded of how much we owe to the gaming community."

Yes you do owe us a lot you owe us a F*cking game you mother F*ckers.

Even Gabe himself has denied that the stolen code has been the reason for the length of the delay as it is now. They made (big) errors in the planning phase, or so they say. Personally I think they tried to copy Id in creating a hype around their game.

Let's see if all this hyping is going to pay off or not. I hope not, actually, as I find it damned annoying.

Very likely, no one with a half a brain would leave thier source un protected. Also from the screens people where posting of the leak the engine looked like it was no where near completion.

I glaring problem I saw was when shadows overlapped, the overlapping parts where darker then the rest. Alot of people said the ai was scripted too.

It doesn't seem that this is entirely credible information, especially since I couldn't find this info anywhere else on the internet; anytime Valve mentions HL2 it's all over the internet. But, if it is true, then what a bunch of losers. Doug Lombardi said in that video interview that the game would be out in the summer and now their [-peep-] publisher Vivendi is going to hold it back until the fall so it agrees with their fiscal planning!?! This was supposed to be a really big year for gamers and yet it's June and so far we only have one really cool game- Far Cry, which leaves much to be desired in some corners. ... *sigh*...

Oh well. Me myself I'm more excited about THAT OTHER GAME THAT'S ALSO SUPPOSED TO BE OUT THIS SUMMER!!!

I think the Warhammer 40K game looks pretty sweet, and let's not forget S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
