What is it that makes the decision not clear? You can get the Dell which is cheaper and more powerful. This thread is really not needed.

larger SSD and anti gloss screen and asthetic of Toshiba and possibly build quialty could be different? after all big factor on portable computers is realiblity some brands are well known for there customer service and warrenty better then others

as a mod on forum you should know better that brands such as apple are expensive and light but performance is lacking for asking price so... theres lot to consider when comes to brands and suggestions on this subject

performance may be good on dell but it don't mean it will be better choice in terms of weight and battery life more of little things

I see, you are buying form JB hifi. It's just that both laptop comes with 1 year standard warranty. Anything that goes wrong afterward, you are on you own. It would be good to get cheaper one and cut the loss if thing turn worse after the warranty period, not the mention the Dell, if it works, will last you longer performance wise. BTW, Dick Smith is having a special on the Toshiba and selling for less then JB.

You may also want to consider Lenovo S430, SSD, anti-glare 900p screen, i7 and dedicated GPU for less than $1000:
