Volt modded and stuck the vantec back on the X800 and flashed it to XT. Even had time to do a guide for this madness!

NICE!

Very well done dude, and thanks for sharing the wealth of info, even if I don't need it right now (who knows with the R423?).

13,550 is my best atm in 03. Gonna bench again when my 3400 arrives and also gonna watercool the X800 with a dedicated setup so I can run the core @ 600mhz. =)

You should use a peltier with the watercooling setup if it is going to be dedicated. 15 extra MHz doesn't sound worth the expense of a whole kit...but 65 extra MHz (bringing you to 650MHz) would probably be attainable with a pelt and would bring lots more performance. Pelts are also cheap...the dedicated PSUs aren't as cheap, but aren't poorly priced either. Check'em out here.

Also, what speed are you running your processor and what's your score in 2k1?

Actually mate I think thats a bit too OTT for me as this will be my first venture into watercooling. I can bench @ 585 core now and with the extra cooling I should hit 600. Then with an extra .1 volt I should be able to bench at 630 or so and run 24/7 @ 610 which is 40mhz higher than I run now @ 570. And 40mhz on this thing gives quite a good increase in speed....

Hmmmm, never thought about raising the voltage once you get the water....630 is probably reachable. But still, you would love a pelt...scottchen saw an extra 50 some mhz on an aircooled peltier.

Anyway, just food for thought before you start working full time and have no time for your x800Pro

Forget water, go straight Peltier or Compressor Cooling! I wanna see 700 you Scaredy-Cat!

BTW, Indy GP sucked. Other than the Crashes (becoming like NeckCar, err... Nascar where crashes are wherew the excitement's at!), and Montoya's Black Flag, it was boring! Again! Go back to slicks, and unlimited cars!

Actually thats a pretty good score considering its on a messed up install of windows etc. Seen the anandtech numbers on a 3400 A64. I got 65fps avg and the 6800ultra got the same. The X800XT only got 59fps and the pro 54fps.

I love my card. =)

Well of course the Top of the X800s is around 88K.

AquaMark Score: 88113 (CPU: 13903, GFX: 12900)

Using an X800Pro and an FX-53

And then there's that deep freezer posing as a computer with a GF6800U that broke 100K (the next closest GF6800U is 86K : 86087 (CPU: 12713, GFX: 13011)).

Still yours right now is basically air cooled and not just for Bungholios, unlike alot of the knobs out there, so it's very impressive.

BTW, Remember it's ok to love your card, just don't LOVE your card!

Ahh, I admit it, I love your card too, but I hate You for having it and gloating. Nah, I don't hate you, I covet my neighbour's (from across the pond) card, and I hate that!

OH well, new rig in the fall or maybe sooner depending on offerings. Then we shall see!

Guys never guess what I did. Sold my X800pro for £380! I only payed £295 for it. Someone obviously likes my handy work. Got enough now for either a 6800u or X800XTPE!

Got a gf4 4200 coming tomorrow for £44. Should keep be browsing the web until the XT's arrive. For some reason my pci card wont work in this MSI K8N mobo?

You should OC and vmod the 4200 and sell it for 60.

As for why the PCI card won't work--it's probably something MSI didn't think about implementing in the BIOS (afterall, who would buy that board and use a PCI card?!).

You sure about the XT?? It seems that nVidia's driver team is working their magic again (albeit slowly) and they might catch up to the performance in the coming months (then again, if the final version of 4.7 is anything like the beta, they will have a hard time catching up).

Anyway, best of luck with your XTpe when you get it (and please OC the bejeezes out of it).
