When will the X800XT truly be "available"?

I'm building a new puter. It's been 2.5 years and I've got the itch again. These are the pieces I have so far.

CoolerMaster Case
480 Watt Power Supply
DVD ASUS 16X DVD
DVD+/-RW PLEXTOR|PX-712A
CPU FAN SPIRE|SP703C3
Asus A8V Deluxe VIA K8T800 Pro Chipset ATX AMD MB
(2)WESTERN DIGITAL WD740GB SATA 74GB RAPTOR

I plan on getting:
XP 64FX 53
1 gig of Registered OCZ 3200 Ram

I'd like a Radeon X800 XT card but, it doesn't look as if this card is truly "for sale". Any idea when ATI's gonna "get it's act together" on this card? Thanksgiving? Christmas. I'm not gonna pay $800.00 for one on ebay, that's for sure.

dunno about the vid card but get Lite-On opticals, really good and cheap. I think plextor is overpriced!

Asus P4P800DX, P4C 2.6ghz@3.25ghz, 2X512 OCZ PC4000 3-3-3-8, Leadtek FX5900 w/ FX5950U bios@500/1000, 2X30gig Raid0

Get the Athlon64 FX53 for socket939, instead of socket940, they'll perform better, and don't require ECC registered ram which just slows things down.

you're having problems there, the A8V deluxe is Socket939 board, Your CPU is socket940, and your ram is for socket940. So you'd better get that sorted out quick.

I've not the CPU yet but I'm getting the 939 version. New Egg sells both and I'm up on which I need. I appreciate the warning though.

I am confused about "registered" vs. "unbuffered". If I get the 939 board I DON'T need registered RAM or do I? I'm confused about this one.

Thanks in advance...

Socket939 you just need standard ram, grab the OCZ PC3500EB or Corsair 3200XL, 2x512mb of course.
