I have a IBM Thinkpad with Win-xp. I cannot install anything using the USB
input. The Event viewer says the following "Event ID-270 Plug and play user
interface dialouges have been supressed in factory mode" I dont know what
to do?? Am thinking somehow got into factory mode and need to maybe run
SYSPREP but unsure of what I should or should not do? Help would be
appreciated .

If your have a company-issued PC, the company may have enforced
a security Group Policy which prevents usage of USB devices.
If that is the case, you'll have to talk to your manager, supervisor,
or IT department.

Thanks. No it is not a IBM issue, tho bought it direct from IBM. Worked fine
for about 0-months and now as stated. Wonder if I should re-install the whole
thing and c what happens or would you just try to Upgrade and c what happens?
By the way I do appreciate your help. Also do you think the sysprep program
would help?
