Using recent drivers 61.34 and 4.6, interesting investigation into the affect of an XP-Bart-2500+, a socket 754 AMD64 3000+, socket 939 AMD64 3500+, and an Intel P4'C' 2.4ghz , 3.0ghz , 3.4ghz.

Good investigation with some interesting results, Intel having better results in Flight Sim and FarCry, and Battelfield goes to the AMDs. It's obvious that the 2.4/2500+ limit the cards in some games, like FarCry bringing all cards in line. The X800s do well in the comparison leading the BF:Viet and FarCry benchies, and the GF6800 leading the FS benchie with the use of a higher level of AA.

All in all a pretty good look at the cards. I would've liked to see if the ATI and nV issues in FarCry are fixed, but this isn't about image quality so much as system power handcuffing these new cards.

Yes, I have already read it. Very interesting. I thing it confirms what I have said sometimes in other threads, sometimes is better to buy 9800Pro and save cash for a future upgrade.

Another comparison that can be usefull is <A HREF="http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/x800_pro_athlon_xp/default.asp" target="_new">this one</A>
