Is there a way to send an sms message to an email address using FIDO?

How is everyone in Toronto finding the FIDO network these days, with
the launch of cityfido?

the old way:

..EM.SM.user@domain.tld message
send to 3436

the new way:
..mail user@domain.tld (subject) message
send to 003436

(am not 100% certain of the syntax for the new way).

I've always done it this way

mail user@domain.tld (subject is optional) message

send if to FIDO (3436)

no '.' in front of 'mail' in the new way... both old way and new way still work...

emailaddress@domain <space> compose message of no more than 140
characters. For number to send to send to 3436 (FIDO.) Email
addressee will get email from 10digitphonenumber@fido.ca e.g.
4165552368@fido.ca , 5145552368@fido.ca , 6045552368@fido.ca etc.
