We are in the process of deploying Windows XP and have encountered an error
with users who do not have administrator rights. It says to them "A local
Policy is in place that prevents you from adding this printer"
This error comes up when you try to add the printer by browsing to it in the
network folder and clicking connect, and when trying to add it directly via
its IP.
We have gone to the group policy editor and disabled "prevent a printer from
being added" we have also enabled/disabled all of those various printer
policies so that a user should be able to do just about anything with
printers, but the error still keeps coming up... any help would be greatly
appreciated.
