my sisters comp has an amd 1800 with SIS 750 mobo and 512 sdram. I decided to put my old mx440 in it thinking it will improve the comp a bit due to the mobo having onboard graphics. so i stuck it in loaded comp up and loaded the drivers, then restarted (with monitor cable in mx440 slot) and it loads fine up until windows loads it starts to load the desktop but then the mouse freezes and the keyboard. however when the mx440 is removed and the monitor cable put back in the SIS mobo graphics slot its fine.
neone know wats goin on?

Check in your BIOS if you can disable the on-board graphics and things like that!

Have you removed the SIS Video drivers first?

Did you uninstall the old graphics drivers before installing the MX440? Even though they are integrated, I am pretty sure that the graphics part has its own driver set.

ye i uninstalled the drivers. i jus cant understand why it crashes for. I mean i can stick it in and not install the drivers and it works fine but the res and amount of colours are limited, and its only once i install the drivers to it that it crashes.

what drivers are you using? I've heard that some of the newer drivers don't work well with the older GF4 cards. I've stuck with some older drivers on mine and haven't had a problem yet.
