Does Win2k Pro SP4 let you modify id3 tags for mp3's by doing
right click -> properties -> summaries
like in WinXP?
Also, for some reason in Win2k, my system starts to lag when transferring files from the cd-rom to the hard drive, but doesn't in Windows XP...any way to fix this? Currently using SP3 for 2k.

Nope, it doesn't have that function.

Have you installed the latest chipset drivers in Win2k and is DMA enabled when possible?

DMA is enabled. No, I haven't installed newer 2k via drivers...I was under the impression that I shouldn't update those unless there was a serious problem? Or should I always update mobo drivers regardless?

Well I don't know which versoin Win2k uses as default but I do know that WinXP use pretty new drivers compared to Win2k. And there have been several IDE driver improvements between the release of Win2k and WinXP.

I always keep drivers up-to-date, unless according to the changelogs they don't add anything new to my system.
