Nowhere...it's next to impossible to get anything except a preorder on a crappy dual slot card...let alone a good 1 slot.

You might want to try getting a GT (single slot) and OCing up to Ultra speeds.

seriously, even if its one slot, putting a PCI card next to it is stupid, ur just blocking the airflow and making the PCI card heating up for no reason as well. This goes the same for ATi's X800s as well.

I meant 6800. The reason behind a single slot is because its just better. I dont want anything beside it anyways.

That's not true. The cooler on the dual slot cards are higher quality higher flow coolers often found on Workstation cards, the cooler on the Ultra is likely much better than that on the GT. The question is what is 'needed' by that card. Some cards can get away with less cooling, but likely also pay a performance price if everything else is the same (ie. same core).

The reason people have issues with them is because of adjacent cards in rigs and SFF rigs.

<b>CoolS</b>, while in theory that's right, but if I DO have a gap between my graphics card and the next card (<A HREF="http://server6.uploadit.org/files/TheGrapeApe-GamingRig.jpg" target="_new">as is the case in my rig</A> [removed the extra network card]), what it means is that the HSF assembly is one slot closer to the next card, if I had another 2 cards there, I'd have a 1 card gap between my graphics card and the next thing with a one slot card, but with a two slot card, now there is no gap. It's still an issue for some, but with the amount of integrated stuff freeing up slots now, it's really mostly an issue for SFF buyers IMO.

Do you have a computer sitting ontop of your computer? Cause that picture confused the crap out of me. And it also looks like another full tower.

Yes I do, sorry about that it's a picture from another series I posted here a while back in the 'OTHER' section.

The other rig on top is <A HREF="http://server6.uploadit.org/files/TheGrapeApe-DUALAMD.jpg" target="_new">the editing rig</A>, both a are getting a cleaning (dually is REALLY dusty, didn't do it for 6mths) in the spare room so I though WTF, why not take a pic.

For those pics, actually I think I used a Pentax Optio from a friend (which I had borrowed/traded for some time-lapse), either that or the Canon Digi-Elph SD100 I can't really remember it was a while back. It was a spur of the moment thing I just thought, while I'm at it, WTF, why not have some fun.

The Case is a ChiefTec(h), (the name of the company that makes ANTECs cases, same case just OEM-style pric). They're 2+ years old now. The Dually came first. I'm thinking of a CUBE or a ThermalTake style case next time. I really hope to find a good cube.
