I just installed a BBA Radeon 9800 128MB in my PC. I ran Quake III demo and got 181 fps. My 9600 Pro used to get about 176. This performance change is nothing like what I should be getting. Benchmarks online show the 9800 getting over 200fps. My 3DMark2001SE score is about 12200. Thats VERY low for this card. The 9800 scores about 14000 in all the online benchmarks I've seen. I have catalyst 4.7 installed. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Quake 3 is heavily dependant on your processor, RAM, and bandwidth. If you want over 200 FPS (really really important) get a mobo-RAM-CPU combo, or not.

NVM fixed the problem. I had to reinstall my mobo AGP driver. The card wasnt running at 4xAGP. OOPS
