I am attempting to upgrade a PC from ME to XP Home. I ran the system
compatiblity option and everything is okay. But, whenever the installation
gets to updating the setup files, at around 53%, it begins getting error
messages saying it cannot load/copy various files. It says to hit enter to
try again or escape to skip the file. Hitting enter does not work, so I have
to keep hitting escape. Needless to say, the installation eventually fails. I
tried to install it 4 times today, with the same issue each time. Any
suggestions? Thanks
