  1. Good specs, yes, but you may want to move to a larger drive or maybe a 7200 rpm drive, especially if you will use this as your main system.

And get a USB drive for backups.
  2. ok thanks
  3. It kinda seems like a 'tweener to me.

Do you have a link to the notebook ... and a budget?

Its this laptop. the Specs I chose are above as shown. ^

And it also shows what my budget is around.
  5. I'll be changing the Hard disk I chose later to the 7200 rpm drive you suggested.
  6. Which CPU is better?

    i7 3610QM (2.30GHz) 6mb

    or

    i5 3360QM (2.80GHz) 3mb

  7. The i7 is faster, on the CPU charts in passmark it's ranked 52, the i5 is in the 150s or so.

The i5 does not have on a Q, the i7 is a quad core which is why it has on the q
  9. The Core i7 is overall more powerful, but gaming depends much more on the GPU than it does on the CPU. If you have extra cash lying around, you might want to consider going with one of the GTX 660M / GTX 670M equipped PCSpecialist models.
