Choice between 9600 Ultra ( Memory 128MB DDR,Memory Bus Width 128-bit, Clockrate (Core/Memory) 500 MHz / 600 MHz (DDR),DirectX Generation 9.0 ) and a MSI RX9800 Pro ( Memory 128MB DDR, Memory BUS Width 256-bit, Core Clock: 378 MHz, Memory Clock: 338 MHz, ). Which one is better?

Could u perhaps explain why? Arguments with colleuges..... the 9600's core speed is fatser (almost twice) although the 9800 is a 256bit card....

I see Crash just answered this question in another thread, so to give him the credit for good wording, I'll have you read <A HREF="http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=407952#407952" target="_new"> this.</A>

Hard to word it any better than what he did there. Twice the pipes and 256-bit memory interface more than makes up for the slower clock speeds.

Dont let that 9600 "faster clock speed" fool you. It is only a 128 bit card while the 9800pro is 256 bit so take that 380/340 and double it in 128 bit terms. the 9800pro is way much faster.
