How is your virtual memory being handled and by whom? Which OS is it running? My two Xeon chips in a fairly ancient IBM server move around a but quicker than I can with less RAM that you have. :D

the OS is 'windows 7' 64bit.. i dont know whom the virtual memory is being handled by... how do i find out? i guess i sound real dumb lol

Not dumb - just finding out something you didn't know. In Control Panel>System, on the General tab you can see what RAM you have in Gb. Click the Advanced tab and then on the first of three Settings buttons and finally on Advanced and you can see the Pagefile size in Mb. Click on Change and click the button for System Managed. That lets Windows decide how to allocate file swapping and leads to a better management of the memory.

Click OK then when that form closes, click Apply and OK then restart the system if it doesn't restart itself. That might help fix your problem. Post back that Gb size of RAM from the System>General tab as a matter of interest.
