Hello,

I have Radeon 9700np with a VGA and DVI out. I have fiddled with the dual display (2 CRTs, one using the DVI-to-VGA adapter that came with the video card), but the second display is slightly blurry. Whatever CRT is on the DVI is blurry.

Is there a setting I can change or something I can do to resolve this? I would like to use dual displays, but the blurry text is hard on my eyes and is not conducive to working in Photoship and the like.

Any suggestions on cleaning up the display on the second monitor would be appreciated :)

Just kiddin..

Does that happen when u use the two monitors to clone the image, or use them as an extended desktop. If you havent tried that, try switching.

Tighten the adapter, or replace it with another to chk if its defective. Also make sure the frequencies are set correct on each monitor.

Also get the new catalyst 4.7, or beta 4.8. You can read about both in this forum.

Thanks for the reply :)

It is blurry on the 2nd monitor (DVI-to-VGA) in CLONE and EXTENDED DESKTOP modes. I have messed with it a few times since I got the board (Cat ~3.6 and 4.6). Connections were tight and all...

I will try the other suggestions and get back to you :)

I guess my other question is: Is this problem Unique to me? i.e. do others running dual displays with a VGA and a DVI (converted to VGA) get clear pictures? If so it must be a setting I have...

I saw a computer that was flickering a LOT, really FUZZZZY and it was also connected via the adapter. But that was an LCD monitor and was fixed by tightening the adapter connection.
