umm... frankly i dont like 1368 x 768 resolution . So 1920 x 'X' is more preferable.
I dont have a very good idea about the latest NViDIA GPUs. So any descent (2gb) NViDIA GPU will be my choice. However how is ATI Raedon? I have heard ATI Raedon is quite cheaper. I have seen HP Pavillion DV6 laptop which provides with 2gb NViDIA 330 GPUs. But i am sceptical about HP coz of its hardware issues. However I have seen DELL laptops too (XPS series) but they are costly compared to the products provided by Asus and MSI. I will prefer ASUS then MSI. The laptop must be able to play any recent games in high/medium settings with descent FPS.
I live in India so various models aren't that easily available.

As a benchmark , i wl like to play Batelefield 3 in high setings with descent FPS and no issues if any config is available below $1200

The 1366x768 display is poor, and the GT 540M is meh. Link us to the website where you're looking at buying the K53SV, so we can see its exact prices/specs, and maybe search for some alternatives.
