A reset to factory setting might not fix a lost password.
Things are different these days trying to make the laptops more secure. The passwords are usually stored on a flash drive chip and arent affected by power outages, changing hard disks or OS changes.
Thanks for the heads up. I did read that about that... barely. lol As a healthcare professional and needed a the newer macbookpro for documentation for a "secure" server. Much nicer than the macbook that I had for 3 yrs. Yes different!
