DM1 E450 Memory question. 4gb or 6gb?

Hello! As of now, I have a HP DM1-4000au laptop with these specifications:
AMD E-450
2gb 1333 mhz Hynix memory
500gb HDD
Windows 7 64 bit
Now my question: If I upgrade my laptop to 6gb by purchasing a 4gb module. (different brand "Kingston"), is there a performance difference between the 6gb ( 2gb+4gb ) and the single 4gb module? I'm thinking that the 6gb set might bottleneck the 4gb module thus reducing the overall performance.
*note* The laptop only supports single channel memory.
