hey yo
I just built my new pc a few weeks back:

MSI Neo Platinum Mobo
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
1 gig Corsair XMS pc3200
Radeon 9800 Pro (soft modded to xt)
160 gig Seagate SATA hdd

well It wroked fine.. in fact it worked like a charm!

and then.. recently I'm playing Warcraft 3 and then I've been playin a while now, maybe 2 hrs?.. no problems, about 4 games later, in the middle of a game, my screen goes black, and everything stops working... I mean, I cant alt-tab out, and I try to talk on my Ventrilo ( a voice chatting program that I have on while im playing games) but it doesnt work, and i hear the fans in the computer going, but the screen is black.. so I reset. and it boots up normally, as if nothing happened.. not even the "windows was shutdown improperly" stuff..

So I thought maybe my video card was overheating, so I reflashed my video card to its original settings.. and I went back, and it worked fine.. and then the next day, (today) I was playing again w/ my friends, and it happened again!.. anyone guess what happened?..

help plz..
and always. Thanks.

Sounds like cooling or MB over clocking issues. Not sure what without more information. Sorry for your troubles.

You can overclock a little with the stock cooling, but good god (small "g" intentional), do not flash to XT speeds and voltages without getting a Crystal Orb with AS5 or even some better quality heatsink on there... did you test that the card could run at XT speeds for a few days of heavy gaming of benchmarking before you flashed...

Ya, you flashed back, and this may not have caused your problem, but I could not help myself.

If you are overclocking your cpu, set it back to default for a while and see if the problem goes away... I would also keep your video settings at default for a while... and down the road, get Rage3D going to test your video before you flash again... or learn how to use that ATI Tool... but that utility scares me...

I am not the most experienced at flashing video cards, so wait for someone who is, but do confirm that you used the right one for your card...

If you did mess up your video card, you might want to consider RMAing it before you void your Warranty by adding a copper heatsink or something...
