Radeon 9800 with snow

Hey all I just got a Radeon 9800 from newegg I upgraded from a Geforce FX 5200. I ran 3dmark and I noticed in some of the demos there is snow on parts of the demo. It mostly happens when i play the trolls lair demo. All over the walls theres pixels that are flashing white. The thing is it doesnt happen on all the graphix only certain parts. I DLed the lastest ATI drivers, I havnt messsed with Overclocking or anything the card is in default speed. Is it a bad card? If anyone can help me out thanks.

Intel 2.4 GHz
512 Mem.
ATI radeon 9800
WinXP

most likely its overheating damage, ill just sent my 9800pro for RMA cause of that
