Extracting tools from Recovery Console?

Is it possible to extract the tools from windows XP Recovery Console and put them on a bootdisk? For example, can you extract fixboot, fixmbr etc, from Windows XP Recovery Console and use them directly from a bootdisk etc.???

So far all what I can learn about this issue is that you can't "extract" tools from Recovery Console BUT you can find alternatives of these tools.
