When I lived in Green Bay I tutored English as a second language.

This has got to be someone who hasn't made it far through that program! :)

Thats pretty bad, but I'll take that over the typical KLOV cut and
paste. At least the caveman put some info specific to that machine
there.

Huh? Ever seen your typical high-school kid these days? Punctuation is for
dummys!

I know it's the cool thing to do to bash people's horrible grammar, and this
guy DOES have horrible grammar... but you ought to think about it a little
bit before you go through the time to post things on a newsgroup like this.

I know when you're selling on Ebay, you really need to come off as sounding
intelligent or literate at least, so people will have a better sense of
trust and the auction will look more professional, but just because someone
has a grammar problem doesn't mean they're an idiot.

My brother is 25, and reads and writes on a 6th grade level. If he typed up
an auction description, it would likely look worse than the one you've
linked below. He's also one of the most intelligent people i've ever met in
my life, he just never cared much for literacy.

Then he'll never get along well in a written medium, since he'll come
off like a dimwit. Doesn't sound too bright to me.

He's smart enough not to ridicule people he's never met, and he's bright
enough to not get humour out of someone's inabilities or shortcomings.

Something to think about, but I'm sure you won't, you likely have no
shortcomings.

I've seen this kind of thing many times, is all. I don't care what he's
like in person if I only encounter him over a written medium. What
happens is that he comes across like a doofus, and is treated as such.
