Whatever it is, it will hit the shelves 1 year after the big-houpla paper launch.
From my understanding NV48 is their next expected high end card after NV40/45. Will it just be small jump and named GF6900U(6950,6960, 6969), or will it be bigger with a new name? Given the good name/performance of the 6800's I'm guessing it will be a 6900 series. Anyway, NV50 supporting DX10 (next) is anticipated for after that.
Of course, maybe it depends on ATI. What will R480 be like? Or will they just skip to R500 and try to pull a 9700Pro like jump on NV?
I love to speculate and think about it, but the fact that the GF6800U and X800XTpe STILL aren't easy to find, makes me lose alot of excitement about the next generation.
