Optical Drive Not Working

Hi,

I own a Dell Inspiron 15R and I'm having a problem with the optical drive.

No less than ten minutes ago it was working fine but now it's just not working.

I inserted my Mass Effect 2 disk as I wished to play the game and I pushed the optical drive into the laptop as always. But now there's just a hum as the drive tries to load and that goes on for about thirty seconds before shutting off completely.

What should I do about this? I uploaded a video onto you-tube so you can see the problem for yourself, here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFEwwgVHdto&feature=yout...

Turn your sound up a bit as it's a little hard to hear.

Please help me with this.

Thanks.

what was going on on the screen?
Did you tried other games (music cd) or burning a disk?

Nothing is going on the screen, it's as if I didn't even put a disk in the drive.
I've tried an installed game and a music disk and it's the same scenario.

Try this:

http://support.microsoft.com/mats/cd_dvd_drive_problems...

If that doesn't change anything try taking it out and reseating it.

If THAT doesn't work you'll have to try another DVD drive.
