correct syntax for networking

two xp pro machines on a network

what is the correct syntax in folder|properties|security|add on
machine 2 to allow administrator on machine 1 to have the same rights
as administrator on machine two does that make sense
basically what i want to do is reach across the network to machine two
with the same rights as though i was logged on the machine two

the reason i ask is that i cannot access certain windows folders on my
wife's machine, e.g., windows\system32, system volume information from
across the network
i have tried adding me to her security as
\\computer\name but that does not seem to work

all help is greatly appreciated

The system volume information folder is normally not accessible, even by the
local admin account on an NTFS drive (It is accessible if FAT32). This
folder is where System Restore points reside. It is possible to access this
folder only by taking ownership. Why do you want to access it?

In general, you will get maximum network access on XP PRO networked machines
if simple file sharing is disabled and an admin account on the other
workstation exists matching your machines username and password.
