fm 2005 problems

Hi! I just got FM2005 I installed 5.0.5. patch before I tryed the game. But
I can't play, just says "please inset the correct disk..." And autorun
doesnt work...

Need help...

But how could I install the game in the first place? Autorun worked the
first time I put it in the cdrom. Bud no autorun doesnt work... ???

Sounds very strange that it doesn`t work after the patch. Maybe if you
re-installed, and got the patch at www.dugout.net for the second time. Might
be something wrong with the download....

Aha !
Had me going there !
Of course, if you apply the official patch it will replace the "fixed"
FM2005.exe you had in place, and so, when you want to restart the game
it is geared to log the CD.

I usually get a "No-CD" patch to keep me going, and save the CD from
cooking in the drive, but now I know that before I apply a new patch I
must be sure there's a new "fixed" FM2005.exe available.

Another PC mystery solved...
