I just bought this card for a new computer i am ordering, but for some stupid reason i didn't really research it and i am finding now afterwards that its basically a PCI-E version of the 9600.. now i'm wishing i just waited for the 6600. has anyone else got this card, or can tell me if it's any good?

It's faster than the R9600XT by about 10-15%. It's still no 6600, but then again it was never supposed to be, it's competition is the PCX5700/5750. The X700 (RV410) is the competition to the 6600, and we'll have to wait for it to arrive to determine it's place in the line-up.

The X600 should let you play any game out there, but expect it to play slower and prefer lower settings than an R9700Pro/9800.

You certainly could have done worse.

Overclock it and let us know how far she goes... Should be alot of OC potential with the X600, from what I understand.
