I did a search and went through a good 3 pages of results just to make sure I would be an annoying newbie asking something that's been asked a million times.

So after no returns that fit; my question is, anyone know how the different makers of this card stack up? Or know of an article here or elsewhere that compares them? I'm looking at the MSI model for $194 on newegg after reading the FAQ here saying that Powercolor was pretty crappy, and that Saphire was inconsistent with their RAM and Processor speeds as well.

I've got around $200 to spend. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

That is for a Built By ATI (BBA) Radeon 9800 Pro, retail box for $180 + $5-9 shipping. Best price I know of, and BBA has a 3 year warranty directly from ATI. This deal won't last as they vary their specials... the 9600XT is $20 more from them. I bought one and it was a retail box as the picture shows. This is a much better deal in my opinion than the MSI. MSI made good NV cards for sure, I have never used one of there ATI cards. But you can't go wrong with BBA.

ANyway, see the FAQ - Video card buyers guide for a complete listing of brands making ATI Cards. Very good info for choosing a card and then a brand.

In general HIS is worth a little extra for better Overclcoking, but after that, BBA is the top brand to go with.
