Sorry guys,I already posted this letter to Memory but I am not hundred percent satisfied and one guy told me I will get a nice answer from this forum.
Theoratically, if used oiptimally, systems should not use harddisk for memory if the RAM is suffitient.I am telling this by examininig my computer. It got 256 MB RDRAM and I set the virtual memory to 512 MB(Win XP).So the total memory size is 768 MB and it is working perfectly without a memory error yet. So now I can buy a 512 MB more RAM And disable the virtual meory, right? But my fellow members rejected this idea(and I understand their point is true). So where is the limitation for disabling virtual memory lies?Is it a limitation of windows?I need a good explanation. Please help me.
Have you taken a look at this recent <A HREF="http://forumz.tomshardware.com/software/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=36359#36359" target="_new">thread</A>? I'd rather not have to type all that out again!

256MB RAM is not enough for windows XP, in fact, you may have to set the virtual as 2 times as your physical memory, better located in different hardisk.
No matter how much you know today, you will have to know more tomorrow.
I feel sorry for my bad English and I am in Hong Kong.
