Reviews/Blurbs of the AIW X800XT

Love the new look and break-out box.

Beyond3D has their blurb;

Hexus has theirs;

as does Bit-Tech;

Hopefully the new digital tuner works better that their first one on the R8500 and some R9700 (R9800 replaced with old version).

My AIW-8500DV rocks. Now going on 4 years old, though. Fast tuner, good graphics.
Now I want the new one, AIW-X800XT, that ROCKS>

You love the new look? Man, I find that simulated gold plating to be cheesy.

but the breakout box is nice. :)

But it's all shiny and sparkly, just like Hollywood, man! :lol:

Sure I'd prefer something that was BLACK on Red or Black on Black, but I do like the Gold on Black, I'm a BRUINS Fan! :cool:

The tuner on the 8500DV worked fine, my friend could get better reception on certain weak channels than I can with my AIW 9600 Pro.

Yeah I know, I had an 8500DV, but I didn't use it TOO much for TV watching, just occasional, but there were alot of rumblings about them for a long time. I was very surprised when they went back to the big SLOW-ASS tuners. That was one of the things I liked about the R8500 versus the PCIAIW, channel changing was instantaneous, no lag at all.

But I do remember alot of people bitching about them. Heck I even remember LARS mentioning it in his AIWR9700Pro review. I'm not sure about other people's issues, but since I didn't have any problems (but then again I like ventilated well layed out cases so that may have helped) I just remember all the bitching.
