I have recently borrowed a friends external HDD (USB 2.0), to copy important
files from. I am using a Sony Vaio Laptop, with supported Service pack 2. My
friend has an IBM thinkpad with service pack 2 and the External HDD works
perfectly! However i plug the USB plug into my laptop and receive the above
error message! Is there something i need to activate in my settings or
something.
I was told there is a setting to activate in my BIOS settings for USB 2.0
but cannot find anything relating to USB 2.0 activation.
Is my laptop not compatable?
