FS: New WG6100 tubes $170 shipped

from what understand you can use different tubes for those monitors,
not just that one. tubes are tubes if pinouts are appropriate.

I was just wondering if anyone knew if it were even remotely possible
to do some sort of circuit hack on an xy chassis to compensate and
allow for a greater range of picture control than would normally be
possible, therefore allowing the use of 90 degree tubes?

Or would any increase in control range/resolution still fall far short
no matter what?

What would be the specific hardware limitations on something like this?

Yes and no. These tube are rare 100 degree tubes. Good luck tube swapping a
regular 90 degree tube in then trying to get rid of the resulting
pincushion.

I tried to swap the yoke from a cracked 6100 tube to a G07 and a 4600 tube
just for a test and I could not get thme to look correct at all they worked
sort of but did not look right at all and that display corrector was being
used on a 6100 tube to correct problems that were probably due to bad
adjustment pots on the original game board that can cause that picture
problem. I would go with a new tube, trust me you are waisting your time
with the other tubes, try it you, will thank me later, unless someone tried
with a diff tube that I did not and it worked.

But can this be a more plausible option/project to persue instead of
trying to get brand new yokes or whole xy monitors made?

Since we have WG6100 HVU with cages coming soon and then deflection
boards, we are going to make a run of new WG6100 monitors. I'll post
pics, etc when I get the proto finished in a few weeks. One working
proto exists, but I need to get mine.
