Changing the BIOS to make a PAL radeon 9700 to NTS

Hi, I'm about to buy an ATI radeon 9700 pro which is selling really cheap because it's PAL: Of course, I need it to be NTSC but I remember from the days of tweaking the BIOS of my old Radeon 8500 that Radbiosedit had an option of making it NTSC or PAL. So, can I easily (and without risk, aside of that of flashing the bios) turn it into NTSC just by modifying the BIOS?
