I'm building a computer...when I hit the power button, I don't get a post beep, then the comp turns off. I've tested the RAM in another computer, the power supply and the video card. Any idea what the problem is? THX

check to make sure you didnt accidentally ground the motherboard when you installed it, also is the clear cmos jumper in the proper position? some boards are shipped with it in the clear cmos position, which i never understood anyway...........

Could be that it's overheating. Check to make sure the heatsink is seated properly on the CPU and has adequate ventilation around it.

Make sure your CPU fan is plugged into the specific CPU fan port on the MOBO. Some MOBO`s will not boot without that being the case. Goodluck!
