Running XP Home Ed. and after return from Stand By I lost ability to connect
to home network or Internet.

Symptoms: Unplug network cable and LAN icon shows disconnected; however,
once plugged back in network card doesn't appear to recognize this and
continues to show "unplugged".

Thru Control Panel I've uninstalled both Network Card and Network Bridge.
When re-installed system says I have "limited or no connectivity".

When I use "Repair" connection, I get an error message that system could not
"renew your IP address" although MAC Bridge Miniport displays correct LAN IP
address.

Any other Troubleshooting Tips? Is this a hardware problem?

Thanks,
