Video Card: 8 MB DirectX® 9-compatible video card supporting 32-bit color; 6 MB video card supporting millions of colors (3D acceleration optional)

I found this on the description of Myst Anniversary edition requirements. I thought only the newer cards are compatible with DX9, and I doubt any of them are as small as 8MB of memory. What gives?

Always remember, you are unique...just like everyone else.

This may mean compatible with DirectX9, but it doesn't have to be PS2.0/DX9 full-featured per say. It may be a poor way of saying you need an 8mb or greater graphics card, that doesn't cause conflicts when adding DX9 since we need that for other aspects of the game (audio, networking, etc).

Just sounds like it's written by someone not quite sure of how to express themselves while being brief.

A Riva TNT is an DX9 compatable card with 8MB of cache. I believe it only displays DX6 features though.

BTW, don't mix up "compatable" with "compliant".
