Although this isnt the games forum, I'm asking for help.

In the game, I just finished making it to the Satellite communications room, and decided not to send the distress call to earth.
I'm supposed to head to the lobby, to catch the monorail, but I cant seem to find the lobby or the monorail.

Help me!!!1

that decision doesnt have much impact on the game, u will still have to "just aim n shoot"
Hopefully one can expect HL2 to be not so straight.

In anycase, find a walkthrough online and that might help, but its all there.

Just keep on going back down. You have to go the exact direction you came from, IIRC, but if thats not possible theres another elevator around somewhere.

Heya GW;

I chose to send the signal and then i got a new objective, im pretty sure you have to send the signal because you wont get a new objective, and the game wont progress if you dont because at the end of the game you defeat Sabath and the portal closes and THEN they arrive too late to be affected, after you have already defeated the forces of evil, so just send the signal and keep going.

Nope a friend completed the game without sending. And I'm past that point having sent it (why should I be the only person to die?!? ).

Yeah it's a little confusing, but there are 2 elevators to that section, you have to cross back to one of the previous elevators and go back a bit. The sttelite comm room elevator only take you to the crossover point (like a lobby or something, and then there's the other bank of elivators that will take you to the monorail. If I was at home I could walk it through again and describe it, but no can do at work.

Anywhoo, if you haven't figured it out by about 9pm MTN time, I'll run the level again (from the save point) and PM you with instructions before heading out for the evening.

Anwhoo hope you get it, it's definitely doable EITHER way regardless of what you send.

EDIT: Think about it, the reinforcements don't do anything in the game itself, they just impact the ending if you DON'T win (in theory).

You've already been at the monorail lobby. You just have to go back. The monrail lobby was where you killed some of the soldier thingy's and some flying/flaming heads. There was a monorail sign over a door at that lobby (you may have seen it) but the door wouldn't open at that time.

Ya know dude, for helping someone trying to go THROUGH the game, not talking about it when FINISHED, you sure spoiled stuff there. Freakin' hell, put a damn spoiler warning next time, I too haven't finished it, so as Grape Ape and others!

*spoiler sarcasm*

"Oh hey GW, yeah in FF8, there won't be a difference how you react to save Rinoa at the Sorceress Memorial, cuz at the end you'll kill Ultimecia and Rinoa will be yours and you'll kiss at the moonlight!!!"

Geez...

Gen you disappoint me... I beat the game without cheating, asking for help here, or looking up any walkthroughs! I did get stuck briefly a few times but never for long and I never had to ask! There's this one part where you have to control this lift thing with a headlight that goes along some tracks, you control it with forward/backward left/right and up/down arrows, and you gotta do some [-peep-] then go up somewhere and It took me a while to find where I had to go up. Also the part where you either choose to extend the service ladder or not, and you're in the big room with the huge cylindrical thing... that part held me up a bit.

Me: are you saying I can't provide?
Me: cause I know I can provide.
Me: oh and I can provide money too;)
Rachel:): why do we need money when we can just stay in our room and have sex all day?

There was a big bug I had once, that if not for an auto save, I'd have pretty much been screwed for a while or the rest of the game. I believe it's in that pre-monorail level GW is in, and there's a small room with an elevator you have to call on the right part, and in front is a small boiler-like room with some shiny middle pillars. Calling the elevator had it jam halfway, and I believe it must be because the leftover gun was stuck or something, and it just didn't keep going. There was no way to force it to go up, let alone go down. Man it had me looking.

And there's something scary about backtracking in this game. You KNOW you cleared the area, but damn...
