I "upgraded" from Win2k to XP and saw that the small media player that appeared in the folder view when you clicked a media file (audio and video) wasn't there anymore. Is it dead for good? I loved how simple it was and started playing the file instantly, not that I have something againts Windows Media player 7-9 but that's one heavy program.

I had a much better usertitle but was caught trying to hack me a better one so I got my current title as a punishment

The older Windows Media Player (v6.4) is still in WinXP. It's listed as Mplayer2 in Program Files\Windows Media Player. You could always make a shortcut to the program, and drag the shortcut to a convenient place if you wish to use it regularly. Or you can just go to Start - Run and type Mplayer2.

Media Player 6.4 isn't what I liked, I liked how it was in the folder view and all I had to do was hit play.

I had a much better usertitle but was caught trying to hack me a better one so I got my current title as a punishment
