I've got the sapphire x800xt and get great aquamark scores with it 69 000+. The card is lightning fast. Even for Doom 3 I get well over 90 fps with FAA x8 and FSA x8. It seems to run hot though and I can't OC it at all.

Sapphire X800XT 256 meg
1 Gig OCZ PC 3200 Dual DDR Platinum Rev 2
Aquamark 69 280
Trying to figure out what it all does.

God shutup n00bie farg0t. I doubt you're intentionally lying, but your stupidity spreads false information and is bad for ATI and those who support it.

ATI dosn't even HAVE 8x AA, nor could you get over 90 fps with even 6x AA (the highest ATI has) and 8x aniso, if you were using high or ultra high detail and a high res.

Me: are you saying I can't provide?
Me: cause I know I can provide.
Me: oh and I can provide money too;)
Rachel:): why do we need money when we can just stay in our room and have sex all day?

Answer to first question PE is faster than regular XT. Quick check of google should've answred that.

Second part of question, Good builders are: ATI themselves (commonly called B-uilt B-y A-TI), HIS and ASUS. Those are the top cards to look for IMO.

And don't mind randalldaigle, they all run hot, the GF6800 runs hotter than mid 70s, and really neither of the top card is a good overclocker and anyone no one should ever expect overclocks, it's like getting a bonus for free, and that's the best way to look at it, because OCs are not guaranteed, except those who arrive stock OC'd. At which point OC'ing beyond is an issue (or in cases like D3 just the factory OC can be an issue).

- You need a licence to buy a gun, but they'll sell anyone a stamp (or internet account) ! - RED GREEN GA to SK

Man settle down. Timedemo demo1, high detail 96.4 fps has been the highest I've got yet at 1024x768, my sh1tty a$$ monitor must be replaced. I'm game real time it's runs well over 60 fps if I enable the fps monitor in the upper corner, with all the scripted events loading.

You are right I've got it set to 8x FAA and 8x FSA but my driver options only go up to 6x 3T anti-aliasing. I just read it now. I'm still learning, the guy ask how the card worked for other users I told him my experience with it.

Like I was saying though great card, can't seem to OC it.

My CPU gave my fps a huge bump when I switched over to it. Well over a 20 fps gap and a 26 000 aquascore jump.

That's right edit your post farg! I saw the original in my email though (thought you'd get away with it didn't ya!). Think about what you say before you say it... that's 16x ANISOTROPIC FILTERING your card supports (as does mine [9800 pro flashed to XT]), however it only supports up to 6xAA... I don't know what the hell you mean by this: "You are right I've got it set to 8x FAA and 8x FSA but my driver options only go up to 6x 3T anti-aliasing." I know what temporal AA (or 2T/3T as it is designated) is and how it works, but I don't know what you mean by "I have it set to 8x FAA".

So Mr. Smartypants, please educate us on how temporal anti-aliasing works... or would you prefer I tell you, and then you tell me I'm wrong, only to find out later that I wasn't?

Lol, don't take it personally (I'm halfway joking with you), some ppl here are hard on the n00bs, whether they're just forum n00bs, or n00bs in the sense of their knowledge... I'm one of the worst. Genetic Weapon comes in a close second so be careful about leaking stupidity around him as well. Glad to have you on the forum though and I must say you have a freaking AWESOME system... IMO the best possible system available at the moment (Date: 9/27).

Me: are you saying I can't provide?
Me: cause I know I can provide.

I have no shame in not knowing anything!! haha I was confused but the benchmarks I got are legit 90+ timedemo, 65+ in game. When I said I had it set to 8x AA, I meant in the advanced options of Doom 3, anyway no biggie. Thanks for the more pleasant reply. See you around.

FAA? That's the Federal Aviation Administration. It's not rocket science. Standard 3D lingo where I come from.
