5.0.5 patch problem

Hi,

I have been running version 5.02 and decided to patch to 5.05.
Now I can't load any saved games. After the loading bar completes my pointer
turns to a little football then it just freezes. If I end task it says it
can't whilst debugging is in progress.

I tried starting a new game a the same thing happens after the creating
shortlists bit?

Any ideas?

I tried reinstalling and patching straight to 5.05 and it does the same
thing. Bizarre

I presume you are using the full 5.0.5 patch, not the 'exe only' patch
(which can only be used if you have 5.0.3 previously installed) ?

I'd pop on SI's forums and ask in the Tech Support section if this
isnt whats happening.

I also have a problem, if anyone can help.
I've installed the game, but when I try to install the 5.0.5 patch, I get
"FM2005 Error" Unable to read current FM2005 folder. Error 0x00000002- The
system cannot find the file specified.
And yet, I can see the "Football Manager 2005" folder in my program files.
Any help would be great...thanks
